EarlyWork.net—My Very First Short Story

Head over to EarlyWork.net to read my very first short story.

DADDY’S LITTLE ANGELS was the first story I wrote, age 8, and I shared the story behind it as well as scans of it (in all its dot-matrix printed glory) on the site.

This story was very important to me, because it was the first time I got the “rush” from writing. It was the first time I received encouragement from my writing, and it was time I realized I didn’t need permission to write.

I hope you enjoy it.

Also, Matthew Baker, the curator of EarlyWork.net, is a middle-grade author as well. Check out his Edgar Award Nominated Debut, IF YOU FIND THIS. It’s a really great read.
